ICRB : Exam for ISRO , everything you need to know

ICRB stands for ISRO CENTRALISED RECRUITMENT BOARD(ICRB). The exams are conducted   by ICRB for annual recruitment of scientists/engineers ‘sc’ with B.E/B.TECH or equivalent degree and electronics, mechanical and computer science.

Eligibility Criteria Of ICRB:

BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks (average of all semesters for which results are available) or CGPA 6.84 on a ten scale. Minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification. 

There isn’t any specific designed syllabus for ISRO exam. You can consider it equivalent to GATE syllabus. Visit the website of ISRO for previous year question paper to gain more insight about this exam pattern at https://www.isro.gov.in/ question-papers.

There are no attempts limit in ISRO exam.

Nationality: Every applicant must be an Indian citizen.

Age limit: All applicants must not be more than 35 years of age on the date of application. However, Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) will be provided age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders.

Application Fee of ICRB Exam

Candidates will be charged an Application Fee of INR 100/-The fees can be paid using Internet

1.Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card or ‘Offline’ by visiting nearest the SBI Branch.

2.All Women candidates/Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST); Ex-serviceman [EX] and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) applicants will be exempted from paying any Application Fees.

Important: Applicants employed under Central/State Govt/PSU/Autonomous Bodies will be required to obtain and send a NOC to the Administrative Officer [ICRB], ISRO Headquarters, Bengaluru within seven days of applying.

Selection Procedure Of ICRB Exam :

1. Initial screening will be performed to short-list candidates for a written test based on the candidate’s academic performance and bio-data.

2. ISRO will conduct the written test in the following cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram.

3.Candidates shortlisted for the written test will be sent call letters via email.

Exam pattern Of ICRB exam :

1.The written test will have 80 questions carrying a total of 80 marks.

2.The language of the question paper will be English.

Shortlisting criteria for Interview in ICRB

1.Based on a candidate’s performance in the written test, he/she will be shortlisted for the interview.

2.Candidates obtaining a minimum of 60% score in the interview process will be deemed eligible for empanelment consideration in the selection panel. The selection will still be made in the order of merit.
